The vendor is required to provide part time uniformed security staff for events, performance and concerts hosted at our family of venues.
- Security personnel grant event organizers the peace of mind needs to optimize the guest experience without compromising the safety of event participants or the integrity of critical assets
- Security guard and patrol profession: provides a security guard on a contractual basis for another person, firm, association, or corporation for a fee or other valuable consideration and performs one or more of the following functions:
• Prevention, observation, or detection of any unauthorized activity on private property.
• Protection of patrons and persons lawfully authorized to be on the premises or being escorted between premises of the person, firm, association, or corporation that entered into the contract for security services.
• Control, regulation, or direction of the flow or movement of the public, whether by vehicle or otherwise, only to the extent and for the time directly and specifically required to assure the protection of properties.
- Tasks
• The services shall include, but are not be limited to the following: providing uniformed event personnel to assist in crowd directors and crowd control, ticket taking, customer service, ushering, bag checkers, escorts, magnetometer operators, parking and traffic control, event security, and to make reasonable effort to protect property against theft, illegal entry of person and contraband, damage and destruction by spectators, and other intentional acts of violence.
- Deployment
• Deployment contractor must conduct staff deployment briefing and rehearsal with all event staff prior to each event and each shift change.
• Contractor (site manager and supervisor) must be available to attend (if necessary) for event pre-conferences, as well as center, complex and RHA staff meetings that require event staffing services.
- Staffing levels for events:
• Staffing requirements for each event will be requested by the specific venue manager(s), event manager(s), or their designee.
• Management reserves the right to adjust staffing levels, in advance, and while planning for an event as deemed necessary to accommodate the requirements of the event promoters, the convention and performing arts complex’s management reserves the right to adjust position during events to ensure proper coverage for events.
