The vendor is required to provide fully qualified and trained security personnel and be responsible for the implementation, operations and administration of a comprehensive security program to include recruiting, staffing, training, program development, supervision, payroll, and quality control.
- Responsible for all salary, benefits and withholding payments attributable to its security personnel to be provided and shall be solely responsible for all aspects of labor relations with such staff.
- The services called for under this section are to provide all labor, equipment and licenses to perform security services for the district.
- The service contract for security includes, but is not limited to: security guard services and supervisory services (if required).
- All employees working on site performing these services must be properly trained before coming onsite and must demonstrate to the district that they can perform the services.
- The successful proposer will be expected to provide necessary leadership, coordination and cooperation to assure their services are responsive to the needs of the district and are consistent with state requirements and all applicable laws.
- A magnetic sign on the vehicle is acceptable.
- Submit written, legible reports for all security guard work within 24 hours of the end of the shift.
- The report shall include the name of the security guard, hourly detail of activity and a detailed description of any issues encountered.
- The security guards onsite will provide general safety and supervision at each school according to assignments developed by school principals and approved by district administration.
- Charges for hourly labor shall include all taxes, health benefits, workers’ compensation, other statutory insurances, travel reimbursement, sick days, vacation, overhead and profit.
- Labor rates shall be prevailing wage as appropriate.
- Invoices must be accompanied by certified payroll time sheets.
- Staff members of the successful proposer shall not fraternize with students or teachers.
- Conversations with staff and students must be limited to work-related requests.
