The vendor is required to provide closed-circuit television (CCTV) inspections to document the condition of three gravity fed sewer lines.
- CCTV inspections
• The first inspection will occur during project planning for the purposes to assist with the development of a risk mitigation assessment.
• The risk mitigation assessment will be undertaken by authority design consultant and is not included in this scope of work.
• The second round of inspections will be conducted for the same infrastructure segments shortly before authority implementation date.
• A third round of inspections will be undertaken following completion of the construction works and demobilization.
- CCTV inspections will generally follow the procedures, guidelines, or specifications below:
• During each round of inspections, the preferred bidder is required to stop and pan the camera at frequent intervals to ensure that the whole pipe circumference is inspected for the entire linear distance of the pipe segment.
• Continuous downstream inspections are required; upstream surveys are only permitted if downstream surveys cannot be reasonably completed (i.e., due to blockage in pipe) following discussions with authority.
• The preferred bidder must have the ability to inspect the maximum distance between access points within the project site.
• the necessary equipment to be able to inspect the range of pipe segment diameters present at the project site (1200 mm to 1950 mm).
• Inspection equipment does not become stuck or lodged in the sewer line.
• Should this occur, no payment will be made by authority for lost time.
• The inspection should utilize low flow conditions to ensure a minimum of 80% of the height of the sewer is visible for the entirety of the inspection.
• The camera lens shall be kept clean at all times and the sewer shall be kept clear of fog during the entire inspection.
• Be prepared to potentially perform sewer inspections during low flow periods which potentially may occur during the late evening and early morning hours.
