The Vendor is required to provide work outlines the security officer services, including patrols, monitoring of the chemical injection systems, and other duties required by the district.
- Our goal is to maintain a secure working environment through proactive measures that protect people and assets against injury, loss, or damage resulting from criminal or malicious acts.
- The services will include a 24-hour presence of uniformed, armed and unarmed security officers, seven days a week at Owner’s locations. The services will supplement Owner’s full-time security personnel.
- Provider shall provide:
• A trained and experienced security force with a capable management team
• Timely and efficient resource management
• Reliable management deliverables
• Hands-on supervision of the local security force
• Innovative strategies to mitigate risks and protect assets
• Dependable security services for critical infrastructure
- General duties include:
• Security officers shall establish order and safeguard employees, customers, and property.
• Security officers shall assist in emergency situations, identify conflicts, intervene courteously, and perform other security related functions as required by owner.
• Security officers shall be familiar with non-violent resolutions to conflict.
• Security guards may be required to make citizen arrests or detain individuals who jeopardize the safety of employees, customers, and property.
• Act as an ambassador of owner.
• Provide employee and customer safety.
• Ensure compliance with owner’s policy, municipal codes and/or state revised statutes pertaining to trespass, vagrancy, vandalism, and crimes against the person.
• Conduct surveillance for suspicious activities and individuals and for unusual packages.
• Patrol the perimeter and interior of the facility/site as assigned.
• Contact local public safety agencies as needed.
• Oversee and/or assist in facility or area evacuations.
• Responsibility for ensuring that all officers, including temporary replacements, meet the predisclosed requirements and have been thoroughly trained before standing a post.
• Staffing change notices to owner must be received prior to a planned security officer staffing change.
- There shall be an account supervisor either on-duty or on-call for a security officer to contact when on duty.
- In the event Owner has a need to contact the Provider’s account supervisor, the name of the supervisor and his/her telephone number must be provided to the Owner.
- The supervisor will manage staffing; investigate security complaints (except those against the supervisor) and follow‐up as necessary.
- Owner reserves the right to request Provider replace personnel whose performance is lacking in Owner’s sole and absolute discretion.
