The vendor required to provide temporary unarmed security services must be performed primarily during the training center hours of Monday – Friday between 6:00 am and 6:00 pm.
- Post and patrol duties
1. Start and during post
• Inspect and test issued radios, phones, and equipment for serviceability.
• Review shift logs, schedules, and communications for updates.
• Receive and acknowledge special instructions from the coordinator.
• Complete and submit incident reports as required by sled reg. 73-417(b).
• Monitor public and vending areas for safety.
• Verify all buildings and parking areas are secured after hours.
2. Patrol responsibilities
• Unlock and secure facilities per schedule and authorization.
• Conduct routine patrols of all interior and exterior areas, including parking lots and perimeters.
• Observe and report suspicious or unsafe activity per code
• Ensure safety of personnel working alone or in isolated areas.
• Identify and report maintenance or lighting deficiencies.
3. Parking area enforcement
• Maintain visible presence to deter theft, vandalism, and disorderly conduct.
• Enforce parking designations and campus rules.
• Verify use of restricted and visitor spaces.
4. Security systems and emergency response
• Respond immediately to alarms and security notifications.
• Coordinate arming, disarming, and alarm resets in accordance with site procedures.
• Contact and cooperate with law enforcement or emergency personnel as needed.
• Notify maintenance for facility access when required.
• Document all incidents and follow-up actions.
5. Site support and safety
• Participate in emergency drills; monitor assigned areas.
• Assist visitors, staff, and disabled individuals courteously.
• Provide information, directions, and support during events.
• Report and document disciplinary issues or public disturbances.
• Assist individuals experiencing vehicle or personal emergencies.
6. Additional duties
• Security officers will perform any additional duties that are within the general scope of this contract, as may be mutually agreed upon by the training center coordinator and the contractor, and confirmed in writing.
• The training center coordinator reserves the right to adjust, at any time during the contract period, the number of security officers, duty schedules, and post locations as necessary to meet operational needs.
• Additional officers may be required for special events, such as interviews, ceremonies, and other scheduled functions.
• Any adjustment in service levels shall be billed at the approved hourly rate per officer, which shall serve as the basis for any change in the contract price.
