The vendor required to provide security services can be reasonably foreseen.
- Security personnel
• Security personnel shall demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills in the english language.
• Security personnel must possess basic computer literacy and proficient in the use of office software.
• They must also be capable of navigating web-based platforms and data entry systems.
• Ensure appropriate staffing coverage on a 24/7/365 basis, with a minimum of three (3) qualified security officers (1 basic first aid, 2 intermediate first aid).
• Staffing models should include a method to ensure oversight, effective coordination, compliance, and performance management.
• All staffing and certification requirements are met at all times.
• Prepare and maintain a monthly work shift schedule identifying the time, date, and names of all assigned security officers.
• A copy of the schedule shall be submitted to the university’s security management team at least one month in advance for review, recordkeeping, and invoicing purposes.
- Duties
• Security officers assigned to this contract shall report to, and take direction from, the on-duty dispatcher and campus security management.
• Duties shall include, but are not limited to: conducting proactive patrols by foot, cart, and vehicle; opening and securing buildings and offices; preparing verbal and written reports; preventing vandalism, theft, malicious mischief, trespass, or other unauthorized use of university premises; enforcing parking regulations after hours for safety requirements; enforcing the student code of conduct; and responding to emergencies or any other events the university deems reportable.
• Security officers are expected to know and understand campus security procedures and protocols.
• All security personnel are expected to exercise sound judgement and common sense when making decisions or handling situations.
• Provide community safe walk duties as required.
• Notify duty dispatcher of safety risks and potential concerns when observed.
• Provide mechanical room, boiler safety and refrigerator safety checks.
• Critical incident response (i.e., wellness checks, mental health crisis response, adversarial persons, at risk behavior response, student code of conduct issues).
• Dispatch relief
• Any breach of security, safety, prohibited activity, or unsafe condition observed by a contract security officer shall be reported immediately to the on-duty dispatcher.
