The Vendor is required to provide security system and access control services for include:
• Provide overall new installations, sustainment, integration and upgrades of the integrated electronic security system (IESS) products based on determined requirements.
• The technical expert for the equipment and technologies cited herein, and shall be responsible for interfacing with manufacturers, vendors, or other industry experts to resolve system problems.
• Shall be required to perform services and provide products for all activities, products, and technologies cited below and any other similar systems the county may require.
• Products and services to be provided include the following hardware and software applications:
o Access control using Kantech products.
o Intrusion detection systems using digital security controls (DSC).
o Intercom systems, including hardwired/ radio frequency (RF)/ ethernet/ video security.
• Products and services shall include the use of proximity including:
o Proximity cards must be kantech secure format (KSF), using seven-digit hexadecimal badge numbers (xx: xxxxx) card series determined by the county through custom order, or county approved substitution. Currently working on upgrading to mifare desfire format.
o Hid/Signo readers.
• Typical hardware and software products supported shall include the following:
o Kantech kt400 / kt4/kt1/ kt2 controllers.
o Entrapass server running global edition 8.72.238.
o Dsc/ maxsys/ power series/ dls 2002 / dls2002 sa / dls 5 / powerg series / neo
• Types of services to be performed under the contract include:
o Planned tasks: physical facility security systems design and installation, repairs and upgrades to existing systems, software consultation, programming, upgrades, and support.
o Emergency and corrective (remedial maintenance): the county typically defines emergency maintenance as a response to a system failure that causes the county to post a guard to augment the loss of the integrated electronic security system or the county’s inability to continue the service uninterrupted.
o The contractor shall maintain an emergency response contact name and number with the county and respond to any emergency services requests within four (4) hours of the initial call.
• Provide only personnel qualified to support the requirements specified in each task order.
• Provide proof of training certification from the manufacturer for all technicians performing tasks for the county when requested.
• Responsible for submitting any necessary applications and obtaining all necessary permits prior to the commencement of work.
• Provide a discount from manufacturer’s list price for equipment and parts utilized for the contract.
• Provide all task materials to the county in electronic format including but not limited to invoices and proposals.
• Any site diagrams and drawings must be scanned.
• Site controller and door descriptions used for programming by county representative as builds provided upon completion of projects.
