The Vendor is required to provide armed security services at the location provided as required to prevent the loss and damage to property and physical harm to persons by monitoring for contraband, fire, theft, vandalism, or unauthorized persons conducting themselves in an unsafe or unruly manner.
- Hours:
• Monday through Friday: 8:00am – 6:00pm not to include state holiday schedule
• Additional working hours may be required on short notice.
• Officers will be expected to remain on duty if a hearing or other commission proceeding continues beyond 6:00pm.
- Duties:
• Officers shall at all times perform all duties according to the applicable professional code of conduct.
• Report any unusual incidents or hazardous conditions immediately to the commission’s director of administrative services.
• Incidents or conditions requiring reporting may include, but not be limited to, fire, criminal activity, chemical spills, telephone outages, power outages and equipment malfunction, etc.
• Officers will always have their firearm on their person(s), and at no time place their firearm anywhere off their person(s) for any reason during their tour of duty.
• All officers shall perform their duties in a proper, dignified, and professional manner.
• The use of force shall be permitted only where consistent with the officer’s training, experience, and professional code of conduct to subdue an active threat to persons or property on the premises.
• Officers shall not use their cell phones for personal purposes while on duty.
• They may have the cell phone on their person.
• Use of cell phones to take pictures shall be restricted to taking images of crimes they may come upon for evidentiary purposes.
• At no time shall any guard engage in social media while on duty.
• No pictures taken on-site may be shared through social media posts or otherwise.
