The Vendor is required to provide private security guards at the following locations to respond to security related issues that could involve county property, staff and residents (referred to as the “services”).
- Security Guards shall demonstrate a high level of professionalism and expertise in the field of security including interpersonal communications skills, general physical appearance, demeanor, and intelligence.
- After required training, Security Guards may carry pepper spray on duty, but may not carry any other weapons such as knives, night sticks or mace.
- Ensure all Security Guards have a working knowledge of Post intercom systems, security systems and computers prior to assignment, as necessary.
- Secure all materials and equipment while not in use.
- Unsafe conditions may include:
• Exit signs that are unlit, missing or poorly positioned.
• Fire extinguishers discharged, under charged or missing.
• Doors, especially exits, that do not close and latch correctly.
• Storage areas, electrical, mechanical and / or telephone rooms not locked.
• Uneven floor or other walking surfaces.
• Wet or otherwise slippery areas.
• Any doors found propped open, taped open or otherwise not secured.
