The Vendor is required to provide service provider to furnish event security services for District athletic events, special events, and other District functions.
- The actual number of contractors event staff needed will vary depending on event.
- Services may include, but are not limited to event security personnel, admission control, metal detection screening and entry-point security, crowd management and monitoring, access control and facility security, parking and traffic control, other related security services as required by the District.
- The actual number of Contractor personnel required will vary depending on the nature, location, attendance, and security needs of each event. Staffing levels shall be determined by the District and communicated to the Contractor in advance of each event whenever practicable.
- Requirements:
• Event staff shall primarily assist with crowd control, assist with the use of metal detectors, scan tickets, and assist with parking and traffic control.
• Event staff shall protect district property against theft, illegal entry of persons or contraband, damage and destruction by spectators, and other intentional acts of violence.
• Event staff shall not leave an assigned duty post without permission of a designated contractor representative (except when relieved by other contractor event staff). In the event of an emergency (when an assigned duty post is vacated by contractor event staff), the contractor shall immediately notify the designated district representative of the time period required to post a replacement.
• Event staff shall be a minimum of eighteen (18) years of age.
• Shall conduct a briefing meeting for all contractor event staff for assignments 10 minutes prior to the designated duty hour.
• Shall require all contractor event staff to be on time, properly dressed, and equipped for the work assignment.
• Shall provide contractor event staff with uniforms to be worn at each district event. A nametag and/or visible company identification is considered part of the uniform and shall be worn at all times.
• Shall furnish radio communications equipment for all contractor event supervisors and key contractor event staff while performing their duties and one (1) radio to a designated district representative.
• Shall designate which contractor event staff receive radios at briefing sessions.
• Shall provide all transportation for contractor event staff as needed.
• Shall perform background checks at their own expense for all contractor event staff before they are allowed to work on district property. It will be the responsibility of the contractor to maintain a copy of all background check results. The district reserves the right to have access to and review background check results.
• Shall ensure contractor event staff have obtained necessary training and orientation to be eligible to work at the district events. The contractor shall provide training at its own expense.
• Shall complete all contractor event staff work schedules and assignments
- Event Staff Required Skills/Knowledge:
• The ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing.
• The ability to follow directions and orders.
• The ability to display interpersonal skills when dealing with large crowds.
• The ability to secure restricted areas and limit access to authorized persons.
• The ability to recognize safety hazards and initiate appropriate action.
