Organizational Dispatch and Security Services will be required to maintain operations and provide security in the evening, weekend, and holiday hours
- Site Supervisor:
• Ability to independently schedule staff according to required shift coverage, make changes to schedule and ensure prompt arrival of subordinates
• Able to communicate effectively to a range of audiences including the public, law enforcement and RCOC executive management
• Able to train, retrain, coach, and mentor subordinates
• Demonstrable analytic and critical thinking skills
• Communication center supervisory experience is desired
• Must be able to ensure compliance of procedures, monitoring of assets, and making rapid notifications via phone, radio or email
• Must demonstrate strong computer skills (basic hardware and software)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required
• Perform all duties assigned to subordinate dispatch officers
• Minimum hourly pay rate for Supervisor Officer will be $20
- Dispatch/Security Officers:
• Secure and protect all company property including buildings, equipment and product inventory at the Waterford facility and alert law enforcement authorities when necessary
• Make facility rounds on foot, check door seals, and perform temperature and fire checks
• Respond to emergency situations with a sense of urgency and maintain open communication flow with RCOC management
• Comfortably use phones, email, computers, browser-based web services, and fax
• Locks/Unlocks gates in the facility and observes all access points and other locations via CCTV cameras
• Answer calls from law enforcement and other authorities and notes hazardous condition, and exact location, relays that critical information to appropriate RCOC department and
forwards information to on-duty supervision
• Answer night and weekend calls from citizens and relays calls to proper authorities when applicable, accurately document all pertinent customer information, enters information into
computer work order system (CityWorks) and provides general information to the public
• Answer radio calls and maintain log of all calls and call-outs
• Answer calls from RCOC Snow Duty Officer and relays information to on-duty supervision.
• Completes hourly call outs to district supervision during a snow event and logs results.
• Reports to work with appropriate security identified clothing (to include full length trousers and full coverage footwear)
• Complete all paperwork and reports as necessary and other duties as assigned
• Uphold positive image of the Road Commission through a helpful attitude with the public as well as internal customers and co-workers.
• Minimum hourly rate for the Security/Dispatch officer will be $15
