1. PURPOSE
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 1, is conducting market research to identify sources capable of providing BD FACSLyric IVD Flow Cytometry Systems and associated components for use by the VA Boston Healthcare System, Pathology & Laboratory Medicine Service. This notice is issued in accordance with FAR Part 10 Market Research and does not constitute a solicitation or request for quotes.
2. BACKGROUND
The VA requires two BD FACSLyric 3L12C Instrument US IVD units (model 663518) and associated hardware, software, consumables, and workflow components necessary to support clinical flow cytometry operations. The new systems must integrate seamlessly with the VA s existing BD instruments, antibodies, and software platforms to maintain testing continuity, avoid revalidation of established protocols, and prevent operational disruption.
3. SUMMARY OF REQUIRED ITEMS
Required items include but are not limited to: BD FACSLyric 3L12C instruments, computer bundles, monitors, printers, barcode scanners, extended-use tanks, loader options, tube racks, CST beads, buffers, cleaning solutions, assay modules, workflow manager software, licenses, and support services.

6. REQUESTED CAPABILITY INFORMATION
The Government seeks capability information from sources able to supply the specified equipment for VISN 1, including whether the equipment and associated components offered are domestic or non-domestic in origin. Vendors should briefly summarize their technical capability, relevant experience, delivery capacity, business size or socioeconomic status, and ability to comply with applicable trade or country-of-origin requirements.
7. RESPONSE REQUIREMENTS
Responses should include company name, SAM UEI, business size classification, evidence of capability to provide all required BD FACSLyric items, authorization documentation (if applicable), delivery timeframes, and any other relevant information.
