Description
The Government requires one full-time, on-site Digital Fires Systems Integration Engineer (DFSE) to provide advanced technical expertise and integration support for the III Armored Corps (IIIAC) Fire Support Element (FSE) located at Fort Hood, TX. The DFSE is critical to maintaining the operational readiness of the digital fires architecture that enables the sensor-to-shooter kill chain. This non-personal service involves integrating, configuring, troubleshooting, and evaluating complex digital fire support systems, tactical communications networks, sensors, and emerging mission command technologies. Key support areas include multinational fires interoperability through the Artillery Systems Cooperation Activities (ASCA) standard and supporting Army modernization efforts such as Next Generation Command and Control (NGC2). The contract includes a surge capability to provide additional qualified DFSE personnel to support simultaneous training, exercises, or experimentation events at multiple geographically separated locations.
