DLA Troop Support (Government) intends to solicit, on an unrestricted basis, for the procurement of NSN 4210-00-203-0217. The Request for Proposal will be posted to the DLA Internet Bid Board System (DIBBS) under Solicitation SPE8E9-26-R-0003 at a later date. The item being procured is a 15-pound, portable, carbon dioxide fire extinguisher used by the Navy. Carbon Dioxide (Co2) fire extinguishers are predominately used for electrical fire risks and flammable liquids, such as paint and petroleum. The extinguisher is manufactured I/A/W MIL-E-24269B(1) and requires First Article Testing (FAT). The Government will make an award as a result of this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, price and other factors considered. The evaluation factors will be in accordance with FAR 12.203 Evaluation and FAR 15.103-2 Lowest price technically acceptable approach. Technical Capability and Past Performance are of equal importance. The factors, when combined, are equally as important as price. There will be a base of one year. The contract will feature 4 (one-year) option periods. The Annual Estimated Quantity for is 5600 EA. PLease note this is an estimate available at time of procurement planning and cannot be guaranteed as a quantity for purchase annually. The maximum contract limitation is $44,887,500.00.
