Offutt Air Force Base is seeking sources for an autonomous aircraft washer. Below is a draft statement of need outlining general requirements for the product.
STATEMENT OF NEED
- This requirement is for the purchase of an autonomous aircraft washer which will reduce man hours and supply costs spent washing aircraft.
- The provided items shall meet or exceed the following requirements: Semi-autonomous mobile robotic aircraft cleaning system controlled via an ergonomic, wireless remote control. 100% Electric (Battery) Powered. The onboard battery must hold sufficient charge to continuously operate and complete at least one full wide-body aircraft cleaning cycle lasting approximately 6 hours. Integrated automatic safety shut-off sensors that immediately halt all motion and brush rotation if the equipment gets too close to or makes unauthorized contact with the aircraft skin.
