The vendor is required to provide a multi-year contract with a contractor to provide the design, fabrication, repairs, and installation of interior and exterior signage and flags.
- Requirements
• Agency all interior and exterior signs and flags in different sizes including but not limited to: flags, flag cases, flag poles, flag rope, flag cables, signs, sign engraving, wall mounted and overhead directional signage, flag mounted directional, room identification, restrooms, conference rooms, workstation id's, magnetic vinyl cling, vehicle signage and any other necessary signage.
• Furnish all material, labor, design services, installation, equipment including lifts and any other necessary equipment and tools to fabricate and install all signage and flags.
• Prepare sign plans, specifications, and artwork suitable for sign fabrication that includes material, colors, font, size, etc.
• Agency remove and replace existing signs, fabricate and install new signs as specified and requested by the requesting department.
• Contractor shall supply and use only new, high-quality material, brackets, and mounting hardware.
• Provide a one-year minimum parts and labor warranty on the new sign fabrication and installation.
• During the first year after installation of new signage, contractor shall repair or replace any faded, damaged, or crooked signs that are caused by poor fabrication methods or installation techniques at no cost to agency.
- Specifications
• The signs shall be attractive and exhibit a professional quality of workmanship, which will reflect positively on agency.
• Signage should incorporate branding standards, as appropriate.
• Signage should leverage the spatial organization of the facility and utilize architectural design features, destinations zones, landmarks, shape, color, lighting, etc.
• Signage should be easy to recognize, consistent, clear, distinctive, and easy to read.
• Signage shall be compliant with 2010 act standards for accessible design.
• The signage contractor should have a primary goal of ensuring that signage works in unity with the work of other agency contractors in order to generate a well-coordinated facility.
• Signage should be updateable by agency and utilize agency internal resources whenever possible.
• Develop an understanding of appropriate national and local building codes, ordinances and other requirements, as they relate to signage for agency.
• Perform a site review to verify locations, determine available areas for signage, confirm dimensions, and identify potential conflicts with architecture or landscape designs.
• Contractor shall develop sign location plans and appropriate schedules.
• Contractor shall prepare conceptual designs in sketch form to determine design direction and review with agency.
• Consideration will be given to materials, finishes, colors, typography, lighting and scale.
• Contractor shall finalize all elements of the sign system design including materials, fabrication specifications, graphic design and installation details.
• Contractor shall prepare sign layouts based on actual sign messages to determine sign and letter sizes and to determine the need for variations.
• Provide final fabrication submittals based on approved design.
• Fabricate and install interior and exterior signage and flags in accordance with the approved design on as-needed basis.
• Develop an installation schedule to assure timely, accurate and code compliant installation.
• Contractor shall remove and transport debris in a manner that will prevent spillage on adjacent surfaces and areas.
