The Vendor is required to provide parking wayfinding signage plan, including an audit and implementation strategy.
- The project will evaluate existing signage conditions, develop a cohesive and user-centered wayfinding system, and prepare implementation documents to modernize and streamline the city’s parking communications.
- Requirement:
1. Existing conditions audit
• Inventory and assess existing signage and wayfinding signage in downtown
• Evaluate placement, visibility, condition, consistency, and messaging clarity
• Identify gaps, redundancies, and conflicts
• Document findings through mapping and photographic analysis
2. Wayfinding and signage strategy
• Vehicular directional signage: signage at key decision points directing users to public parking facilities and guiding circulation through downtown.
• Destination signage: clear identification of available public parking using standardized “public parking” or “p” messaging, including distinct identification for “oversized vehicle” parking where applicable.
• Information signage: on-site signage communicating hours of enforcement, time limits, rates, and other restrictions.
3. Implementation plan
• Develop procurement documents to implement signage plan
• Develop cost estimates for phased implementation
• Provide recommendations for ongoing maintenance.
