The Vendor is required to provide all equipment, supervision, personnel and any other services necessary to perform the fabrication and installation services for fluidized bed incinerator (FBI) spares located.
- Refractory lined ductwork
• Fabricate one complete set of the fluidized bed incinerator (herein FBI or incinerator) refractory lined ductwork, which includes the FBI top plenum; crossover duct connecting the FBI top plenum to the heat exchanger top plenum; the heat exchanger top plenum; the crossover expansion joints; and,
• Review existing drawings and specifications.
• Make site visit(s) to confirm the elevations and dimensions for the fabrication of all new ductwork.
• Fabricate all ductwork and provide all necessary parts such that they tie in and fit with existing equipment such as but not limited to the incinerator, the heat exchanger, the wind box return duct, heat exchanger bypass duct and the bottom plenum connecting duct without deflection or deformation or the need to modify them.
• Provide a project schedule showing all major events including site visits, fabrication, installation and testing of all ductwork and coordinate with the owner to avoid unplanned interruption of operations.
• The installation plan shall at a minimum include the following:
o Details on project coordination
o Information on mobilization and laydown area
o Sequence of disassembly including:
1. Tools
2. Equipment
3. Duration of each step
4. Staffing
5. Risks
6. Communication
7. Coordination with the plant
o Crane lifting plan and staff safety certificates
o Sequence of installation including:
1. Tool
2. Equipment
3. Duration of each step
4. Staffing
5. Risks
6. Communications
7. Leak testing plan
8. Coordination with the plant
o Leak testing of all bolted connections and welds.
o Overall schedule
1. Show all dependencies
2. Show critical path
3. Show responsibilities for each step
• Install the new ductwork and all necessary and required parts and test the system for leaks using air from the fluidizing air blower.
• Install the new ductwork and ancillary parts while the incinerator is not operating and test the new ductwork and ancillary parts while the incinerator is in operation in accordance with the owner- approved leak testing plan.
• Ensure that all new ductwork, and installed heat exchanger, is installed plumb and level is centered in existing floor openings and has no slant.
- Ductwork and expansion joints steel fabrication and refractory lining
• Complete the fabrication work so that the ductwork, expansion joints steel fabrication and refractory lining perform in accordance with the heat and mass balance requirements.
• Verify all dimensions including size, locations, and orientation of required instrument ports are in accordance with the drawings.
• Perform refractory inspection at its subcontractor’s shop.
• Prepare the ductwork for shipment once the inspection is complete.
• Release the ductwork for shipment to the project site in accordance with the project schedule.
• Transport and receive the ductwork at the site for installation.
