The Vendor is required to provide graphic design services on an as-needed basis.
- Provide general graphic design services for the City, including, but not limited to:
• Developing creative graphic concepts and brand identities for various programs across multiple city departments.
• Creating unique publications (including newspaper and magazine-style print pieces), fliers, posters, direct mail pieces, banners, brochures, templates, t-shirts, advertisements, signage, video slates, interactive pdfs (with hyperlinks), logos and website/social media graphics - either as stand-alone pieces or templates.
• Modifying/redesigning previously created collateral pieces and photo retouching.
• Making creative and useful recommendations for improvement.
• Creating pieces that are fully compliant with all
• Creation of city maps from exported GIS files so they are more aesthetically pleasing.
• Refresh brand standards, logos and style sheets associated with the city as needed.
• Coordination and tracking of all current projects and status on a weekly basis.
• Provide all native files, including stock photos and graphics, and OpenType fonts as agreed upon with the city. This may include the most current adobe creative suite formats and saved for use on a pc (as opposed to mac).
• All materials created must adhere to the city's branding guidelines.
• Assist the city in properly "packaging" electronic materials for professional printers.
• May attend high-level design meetings as requested.
• The contractor will provide all labor, tools, equipment, and materials to perform the services.
- Specific design items include:
• Creating three to five advertisements per issue.
• Placing provided copy, photos, captions and headlines in English and Spanish as provided by the city.
• Enhancing current template to meet City desires.
• Making creative and useful recommendations for improvement.
- Spatial Data – Deliverables including spatial data (GIS/AutoCad) will include geospatial datasets (those generated from GPS, survey data, or other derived geospatial data like orthography) in Environmental Systems Research Institute, Inc.’s (“ESRI”) file/personal geodatabase or shapefile format, including a coordinate system projection information or file. Point features will be generated at point shapefiles, linear features will be generated as line shapefiles, and area features will be generated as polygon shapefiles. Any geospatial dataset derived from new or existing geospatial data will be in file/personal geodatabase or shapefile format, along with an explanation of the method used to generated the derived geospatial data. Spatial Coordinate or Survey System will be documented and used, along with a coordinate system projection file for said data. Contractor will provide complete metadata for all provided spatial data and related information.
- Digital Images – Awarded firm will provide non-copyrighted or legally secured, high resolution, illustrative, digital images, renderings, photos, and other deliverables, as directed by the City, suitable for reproduction and dissemination in marketing materials at City Council hearings and public presentations. Contractor will affirm that the images do not violate copyright laws and will indemnify and hold harmless the City from liability for any expense, cost, loss or damage resulting from claim of copyright infringement arising from the City’s use of the images. All images provided will become property of the City.
