The Vendor is required to provide exterior signage replacement design, fabrication, delivery, and installation of the exterior building signage for services.
- Requiring two (2) services -branded ground signs, and up to two (2) illuminated building-mounted police identification signage.
- Site review and verification
• Conducting a site visit to confirm proposed signage locations, visibility, access constraints, and surrounding conditions;
• Verifying the condition.
• Dimensions, and configuration of existing ground-mounted signposts to confirm feasibility for reuse;
• Confirming building façade conditions, mounting surfaces, and access requirements for the installation of building-mounted “police" identification illuminated lettering;
• Identifying any site, structural, or safety constraints that may affect installation; and
• Identifying any permits or approvals that may be required for installation, mounting, or elevated work.
- Design requirements
• All signage must present a clear, legible, and professional appearance appropriate for a police headquarters.
• The services -branded sign must incorporate services branding elements, including colors and graphics, as provided by the city.
• Proposed material finishes for all lower ground-mounted signage must meet and align with services branding guidelines.
• Police identification signage shall consist of clean, professional, building-mounted "police" identification lettering.
• The color shall be blue, using rotunda variable font, unless otherwise directed by the city.
• Design must consider visibility, viewing distance, sightlines, scale, and building context.
• Design must allow for long-term durability and maintenance.
- Ground mounted sign fabrication requirements
• Use high-quality plastic or acrylic, exterior-grade material suitable for permanent, year-round, four-season outdoor installation, and must be resist to ultraviolet (UV) exposure, fading, corrosion, peeling, cracking, delamination, and premature deterioration.
• Use corrosion-resistant fasteners and exterior-grade finishes.
• Fabricate all signage strictly accordance accord with approved drawings and specifications.
• The existing sign is not illuminated.
• While ground-mounted lighting is present, illumination levels are limited; therefore, the proposed sign must utilize a light-colored or high-contrast background design to ensure optimal visibility under low-light conditions.
