The Vendor is required to provide signage firm with design and build expertise to include wayfinding, design, manufacturing and installation of architectural grade interior and exterior signage.
- The ability to provide a full range of services or to team with subcontractors necessary to complete wayfinding analysis and planning, design, manufacturing and installation of all required interior and exterior signage.
- Design development:
• Develop a written report of fact-finding results.
• This report will outline potential aesthetic avenues, discuss relationship of wayfinding components to overall corporate branding effort, propose sign type vocabulary and include a first draft of the campus destination list.
• Based on the fact-finding documentation, the firm will develop an initial conceptual approach and best practices recommendations.
• The firm will include potential sign types, appropriate sizes, and graphics.
• Develop entire vocabulary of sign typology and hierarchy using report results and presentation feedback as the guide.
- Wayfinding documentation:
• Develop the first draft of the signage and wayfinding program.
• This will include:
o Message schedule showing proposed copy for each sign location;
o Site and floor plan indicating sign locations, types, mounting, and orientation;
o Photo imaging of critical areas within the campus;
o Recommendations for parking area and entrance identification;
o Plans for all pedestrian and rolling traffic into building; and
o Detailed review of proposed terminology listing to ensure simplicity, eliminate and redundancy with a primary focus on enhancing the audience's walk-up experience.
• Revise the final draft of the wayfinding program.
• Based on feedback from the wayfinding presentation, the firm will make revisions and prepare the program for the final draft and presentation.
