The Vendor is required to provide wayfinding signs services include installation of destination signs, mile marker signs, and area maps signs at trailheads.
- The total length of the project is approximately 60 miles
- Project signs:
• Install under the county's direction, signs conforming to the specifications and sample provided in the general conditions, as supplied by the county.
• The signs shall be the property of the contractor for the duration of the project and shall be maintained by the contractor to the satisfaction of the county engineer.
• The relocation of the signs during the progress of construction as directed by the county engineer.
• Removal of signs as appropriate at the end of each phase of construction and at the end of the project.
- Project sign construction:
• The project signs shall be constructed of wood or other substantial material (3' x 4' exterior grade plywood sheet with pressure treated 4" x 4" support posts and 2"x 4" cross braces if necessary).
• The sign face shall be four feet horizontal by three feet vertical with four feet of clearance from the bottom of the sign face to ground for a total eight feet of sign height.
• Completion of the contract, the contractor shall remove and dispose of the sign and supports and restore the site to the satisfaction of the county engineer.
- Project sign face preparation:
• The background shall be white
• The lettering shall be black.
