The Vendor is required to provide graphic design consultant to develop impactful, equitable marketing collateral to support the department arts and culture marketing and branding efforts.
- The graphic design consultant will be responsible for researching, designing, and producing a visual brand identity, including the creation of marketing and communications materials, for department arts and cultural events and initiatives.
- Requirement:
• Develop an overall visual brand identity that reflects the mission and goals of the department.
• The brand identity for department arts and cultural programs and events will align with a combination of vibrant and colorful color schemes such as sagebrush, poppy, bluebell, and scarlet flax with supporting secondary colors, as well as department established visual identity.
• A combination of non-proprietary geometric shapes and grids should also be included in the design.
• Consultant will be required to abstain from any reproduction of core graphic design grids and fonts that are protected by intellectual property rights.
• Create digital and print design look-and-feel templates to amplify department arts and cultural programs and events.
• Templates will include posters, flyers, postcards, email headers, website banners, presentation decks, and logos, as well as the creation of outdoor advertising formats (including billboards and transit ads) and electronic/digital formats for social media.
• Build a custom look-and-feel template for department arts and culture webpage.
• Design look-and-feel banners, wayfinding, and signage templates for use by the city and department partners for in-person programming and events.
• Develop at least 5 design options for a department logo.
• Through feedback from department staff and revisions (as needed), the selected final design for department logo will be utilized in digital and print communication, as well as event signage and branded environments, and may also be included on murals and other artistic projects.
• The creation of a new department logo, create a version that is a “refresh” of the department “egg” logo to align with the visual identity of the templates mentioned above.
• Produce branded event toolkits (logo overlays, typography, color palettes, design grids/core graphics, sample captions) consistent with the look-and-feel design specifications listed above.
• A digital asset library of toolkit elements will be utilized by department staff to customize communication graphics as opportunities arise.
• Design a promotional publication, for print and digital distribution, that highlights department impact and the function of its six divisions, and also incorporates the aforementioned look-and-feel collateral and designs.
