Utility Locate and Mapping Services

The Vendor is required to provide utility locating and mapping services on an “as and when required” basis.
- Consultant to conduct detailed surveys and plot all underground utilities and services on an “as and when requested” basis throughout the City.
- The Consultant shall inspect site, map and mark locations of non-metallic underground facilities, and detect gas, hydro, power, communications, fiber optic cablevision, sewer/drainage lines, buried storage tanks, and other underground structures;
- The Consultant shall utilize current industry digital underground locators and/or radar system equipment that can complete centimetre accuracy GPS surveying for utility mapping projects.
- Such equipment include, but is not limited to:
•    Electromagnetic (“EM”) locating equipment; and,
•    Ground Penetrating Radar (“GPR”).
- The Consultant shall provide a sketch and/or aerial photography with the marked utilities;
- The Type of utility locating services required may include, but is not limited to:
•    Geotechnical;
•    Environmental;
•    Large-scale roadwork;
•    Commercial clearance;
•    Residential clearance;
•    Concrete scanning;
•    Tank locating for realtors;
•    Emergency utility locates;
•    State One Call locates;
•    Utility management; and,
•    Large-scale utility management for major telecom.
