Local Scale Wetland Interpretation and Mapping Services

The Vendor is required to provide local scale wetland interpretation and mapping services to complete local-scale wetland inventories within identified highway right of ways and land dispositions throughout the state.
- Completing this inventory will involve a field campaign and digitization of wetlands using high resolution stereo imagery, metadata creation, and associated quality assurance and quality control. 
- These regions include areas with anthropogenic surface and potential fire disturbances.
- Objective
•    Data collected on the ground, during the field campaign, must be collected at sufficient level of detail to confirm the wetland class and physiognomic form as well as other attribute data required for attribution of the wetland polygon.
•    Delineation and attribution of all wetlands in the watershed that are above the target mapping unit of 0.5 hectares to support development assessment, and regulatory requirements and compliance.
- This project aims to develop a wetland inventory using field surveys, high-resolution stereo imagery, and photogrammetry. 
- A third-party audit is not anticipated. 
- Areas of interest are shown on map 1 and are included in the geospatial file.
- Work plan should allow flexibility to accommodate milestones that do not allow time for preliminary wetland mapping prior to conducting field work. 
- Depending on contract commencement, it may not be feasible to complete preliminary wetland mapping prior to field validation.
- Contractors should carefully consider how they will address logistical restrictions due to a short summer season.
- Medium resolution imagery is available for all areas of interest will be used as the base for softcopy image interpretation for the local-scale wetland inventory. 
- High resolution imagery is available for some - areas of interest can be substituted where available. 
- Responsible for developing the stereo softcopy system model for the implement documented quality analysis and quality control (QA/QC) procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of wetland inventory.
