A government agency in Colorado issued “GIS Consulting Services for Electric Utility Data Migration” (RFP). Solicitation GIS-0144 closes on November 12, 2026. Eligibility: USA Organization. Submissions via Online Portal.
Consulting services to assist in the migration of Geographic Information data from its current Geometric Network database into an ESRI expanded Utility Network database.
- Services includes, but is not limited to, the following:
• Review the City's existing Electric Utility GIS data, existing Geometric Network, and supporting documentation.
• Evaluate the existing Geometric Network schema and Electrical Expanded Utility Network data model the city is developing with PRPA and create a migration strategy for data into the ESRI Electrical Expanded Utility Network schema. These requirements for the UN need to be reviewed and included in the new electrical UN database.
• Develop data mapping documentation between the existing Geometric Network schema and the proposed Utility Network schema. Review all necessary Electrical data documentation and recommend changes that will benefit the city’s GIS and integration goals.
• Configure asset groups, asset types, domains, network categories, rules, associations, and other Utility Network components as required.
• Develop and execute data migration processes from the existing Geometric Network into the new Utility Network database.
• Validate migrated data and perform quality assurance/quality control to ensure data integrity and network functionality.
• Provide testing, issue resolution, and refinement of the Utility Network implementation, with support from allocated City representatives.
• Support user acceptance testing and production deployment.
• Provide technical documentation describing the Utility Network configuration, migration methodology, before and after migration data mapping, and implementation.
• Provide project management, status reporting, and schedule coordination throughout the project.
