The vendor is required to provide that healthcare technology services for job growth, economic development, and business assistance efforts.
- Outreach and recruitment:
• Participant outreach: conduct statewide outreach to identify and enroll at least 20 state-based companies that meet the following eligibility criteria:
o For-profit entity
o Country incorporated with majority operations in state
o Meets country small business administration (SBA) size standards
o At least one (1) year in operation
o Country company with goods or services of country origin, or at least 51% country content
• Marketing and promotion: develop marketing materials (e.g., flyers, social media posts) to share with IAT for broader outreach efforts.
• Industry engagement: attend relevant domestic industry trade shows and purchase lists (as needed) to connect with potential participants; all contacts made and lists purchased will be provided to international affairs and trade team (IAT).
• Program participants: all companies recruited for the training must apply to participate via the go-biz step portal and be approved by IAT. No companies will be permitted into the training program without IAT approval.
- The training must include the following, at a minimum:
• Export training program development: design a comprehensive training program focused on key aspects essential for success in the market, including:
o Market selection: how to assess markets for export viability
o Export plan development: tailoring export plans to meet individual business needs
o Government support programs: utilizing government resources, including, but not limited to, go-biz step and the country commercial service (cs)
o Financing: Accessing export financing options, such as credit insurance
o Intellectual property and trademark protections: review the importance of IP and trademark protections in the markets.
o Compliance: Ensuring adherence country and southeast trade requirements, including country export administration regulations (ear)
o Pricing strategy: Developing competitive, market-specific pricing
o Logistics and customs: Addressing international shipping and customs procedures
o Distribution channels: Identifying and establishing international sales
channels
o Business culture: Address unique considerations and common practices within business culture that are typically unfamiliar to us companies
o Pitch refinement – Prepare companies to pitch to customers in a culturally aware way
• Execute virtual training program
• One-on-one coaching: The completion of training, the awardee will provide a minimum of two hours of individual advising focused on market entry strategies and guidance on the export plan for the companies' product or service in markets; these two hours may be divided across multiple sessions as needed; recording of these sessions is not required.
- Data collection and reporting:
• Program assessment: develop and administer a pre- and post-training assessment to measure program success
• Qualitative feedback: compile feedback from program participants, including success stories. this can include surveys, written or recorded interviews, or other methodologies.
• Compile final report: develop a final report for go-biz upon the conclusion of the training demonstrating the impact of the training on participating companies.
