The Vendor is required to provide assessment, crisis intervention, short-term counseling, and referrals for longer-term treatment and referral follow-up for agency employees and their eligible dependents, who may be experiencing personal, medical, behavioral, family, marital, financial, or other emotional problems.
- A clinician is a professional who has received training in critical incident, post-traumatic stress and trauma response counseling and debriefing (“clinician(s)”).
- The panel must include, but not limited to, licensed psychotherapists, including psychiatrists; psychologists; clinical social workers; marriage, family and child counselors; and debt counselors.
- Community referral resources and other low-fee options for treatment of work or lifestyle related issues must be made available to employees and their eligible dependents.
- The panel must include specialty professionals such as critical incident psychologists, chemical dependence, career, credit, pregnancy, and other specialty counselors.
- Assessment and short-term counseling
• Each session must be a minimum of one (1) counseling hour (60 minutes) in duration, with up to five (5) counseling sessions for each issue per calendar year.
• Fees for short term counseling will be paid by agency and count towards the five (5) counseling sessions that are included in the per employee per month (PEPM) rates utilized.
• Counseling sessions in excess of five (5) per issue will become the financial responsibility of the employee, unless other written arrangements are made between contractor and agency.
- Face to Face Individual and Group Counseling for:
• Marriage, divorce and parenting issues
• Conflict resolution
• Grief and loss
• Pregnancy
• Chemical dependency
• Workplace effectiveness
• Communicating effectively
• Depression
• Legal questions
• Drug and alcohol use issues
- Work/Life Referrals
• To be provided 24-hour a day, seven (7) days a week availability of counselors trained to assist with issues such as childcare, home health care, nursing homes, residential care, schools, colleges, health clubs, veterinarians and pet services.
• Consultant must be able to provide up to 5 referrals in 24 - 48 hours and more as requested.
- Scheduled work site locations
• Office visits at panel offices or facilities.
• Provide office visits within the individual agency employee’s network.
• Authority on-site hours may be requests on an as needed basis.
