The vendor is required to provide early years learning resources and services for the facilitator and resource developer opportunities include, but are not limited to, the following service categories:
• Early learning programs and practices
• Early learning development
• Language and early literacy development
• Early learning program assessment
• Early learning administration, management, and/or leadership
• Inclusion
• Family engagement
• Facilitating parenting education curricula
• Truth and reconciliation
• Mental health and psychological wellness
• Non-profit organizations
• Critical incidents review
- Resource developers at minimum are expected to have the following skills:
• In-depth understanding of child development and early learning;
• Proficient research and writing skills to create materials for a range of early years’ audiences and in a variety of mediums, such as brochures, workshops, webinars, videos and online modules;
• Competence in using microsoft word and PowerPoint.
- Facilitators at minimum are expected to have knowledge and skills in the following areas:
• A strong understanding of adult learning strategies, child development and early learning;
• Ability to provide quality professional development sessions for large audience (groups of up to 40 participants in-person or potentially a higher number of participants on-line)
• Competence in using microsoft word and PowerPoint as well as how to use a projector for in-person presentations and online conferencing technology such as microsoft teams for online facilitation;
• Experience in providing feedback and/or in coaching a similar target audience;
• respectfully interact with and respond to educators from a variety of early learning programs;
• Demonstrate experience with presenting to groups in-person and/or with virtual facilitation and demonstrate technical knowledge of virtual platforms used;
• Committed to follow through on agreed services.
- Facilitators and resource developers at minimum are expected to be:
• Knowledgeable in the service category (IES) being applied for;
• Familiar with the early learning sector and the needs of early childhood educators;
• Committed to follow through on agreed services;
• Honest and upfront in all communications including availability (ability to travel and/or facilitate evenings and weekends is not a requirement but would be an asset);
• Proficient in the use of technology to communicate and present information; and in creating electronic and online resources and/or learning opportunities.
• Able to recognize existing and potential connections, themes and opportunities to support the adult learning experience.
• Perform services in a professional manner in both appearance and behavior;
• Have access to trustful technologies and resources to allow a good quality of image, sound and connectivity throughout the workshops, especially as it pertains to virtual training.
• Ability to facilitate and/or develop resources in French is not required but would be an asset.

• Provide additional training to facilitators when required, if the required application criteria have been met.
• Provide all necessary materials and information for pre-set professional learning sessions where workshop content and material have been previously prepared and provided to the facilitator.
