The vendor is required to provide executive search firm will assist the search committee in attracting, evaluating, interviewing, and retaining a senior controller.
- The executive search firm will work with the search committee to gain an understanding of its aspirations for the following position and to determine the qualities we seek.
- Design, implement and manage procedures and processes to assure appropriate internal control, proper and accurate recording, reconciliation, and reporting of existing programs and new initiatives.
- Lead the independent audit process, including preparation and oversight of work papers, footnotes, statement layout and end product.
- Provide strong leadership, team building, problem solving and interpersonal guidance to division members.
- Support effectiveness of employees through timely appraisal and professional development opportunities.
- Support effective communications throughout the organization.
- This position supports the mission of the agency through effective financial management to reduce the agency’s financial risks thereby allowing the agency to efficiently carry out its services.
- Supervise the management and monitoring of commission reserves and program-related investments to assure the agency realizes an effective return from those resources and invests them in accordance with approved policies.
- Design, implement and manage procedures and processes to assure proper and accurate recording, reconciliation and reporting of new and existing programs related to our single-family programs, particularly as it relates to our seller/servicer efforts.
- Executive search firm services include:
• Soliciting input from the search committee through meetings, telephone conversations, or other means to gain a full understanding of the role, responsibilities, qualifications, and experience of the senior controller position;
• Developing a recruitment strategy for generating a racially diverse candidate pool, process, and task-based timeline;
• Developing a complete, accurate, and enticing recruitment announcement;
• Sourcing job candidates through a number of different channels including advertising in nationally recognized publications likely to attract qualified candidates, proactively reaching out to candidates of color, proactively reaching out to candidates in the marketplace who may not be actively seeking the position, accessing the firm’s network of qualified candidates and using other best practice recruitment strategies utilized in the industry to create a diverse pool of candidates;
• Assessing the qualifications of interested candidates against those required in the job description.
• Recommend and schedule candidate interviews; and
• Identifying candidates to be considered and possibly interviewed by the search committee and supporting the interview process.
