The Vendor is required to provide a firm to assist with the selection of the vice provost for enrollment management.
- Provide a firm that will help us in all three phases of the recruitment process: pre-recruitment; recruitment; post-recruitment.
- Pre-Recruitment
• This will include fully developing the position announcement and description through interviews of campus employees as well as utilizing examples of these positions at other universities.
• It will encompass the development of a candidate profile that includes the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to become a successful candidate for the position.
• Development of a market strategy and outreach specifically designed to attract a diverse pool of highly qualified and competitive executive level candidates will also be required.
- Recruitment
• The search firm must develop a diverse pool of candidates though soliciting nominations, contacting nominees and marketing the position in appropriate journals, publications and web sites.
• The firm should conduct interviews with each candidate that they will forward to the campus search committee and provide background checks and reference checks on each finalist that is presented to campus.
• With search committee input, design and finalize the interview process and scheduling including coordinating the candidates’ participation in interviews by making the necessary travel arrangements.
- Post-recruitment
• The firm will also help us with the negotiations of the offer with the finalist and be a partner with the search until the candidate is an employee of the university.
• The firm will guarantee each placement for a period of twelve (12) months, beginning on the start date of the appointment.
• If a placed candidate is terminated by the university during the first twelve (12) months of his/her employment, proposer will conduct a new search to replace the candidate for no additional retainer, charging only expenses incurred.
• Additionally, placed candidates will be considered “off-limits” for future recruitment by the contractor during the first three (3) years of their tenure at the university.
