The vendor is required to provide consulting services for superintendent search to assist in conducting a comprehensive search for the next district superintendent.
• In cooperation with the board, develop a timeline that focuses on a desired start date for the superintendent.
• In cooperation with the board, develop a candidate profile and criteria evaluation of the successful candidate for superintendent.
• At the direction of the board, develop the basis upon which the offeror will assist in determining community criteria and components of the position that are important to the position, including finalizing a superintendent profile and qualifications using community, employee, and governing board data. developing the recommended selection and search process, i.e., local, state, national, and what advantages and disadvantages each represents.
• In cooperation with the board, actively and aggressively recruit successful persons who are not seeking positions, but who may be interested in new challenges.
• As well as recruit qualified candidates from across both the public and private sectors.
• Develop the recommended procedures that the district governing board will utilize including pre-screening, screening, interviews, and finalists.
• Pre-screen candidates for qualifications and background investigations.
• Validate all qualifications and credentials of the finalists.
• Provide recommendations to the governing board on the most eligible candidates, scheduling candidates, interviews, and governing board visitations, and a process to narrow the pool of qualified candidates for board interviews
• In cooperation with the board and as needed, develop and implement public information and participation forums to ensure involvement by interested citizens, and district employees in providing constructive input to the board in defining criteria and qualifications, skills, and competencies to be sought by the board, and providing constructive input during the interview and final selection phases.
• As directed by the board, facilitate and arrange any interviews with qualified candidates for the superintendent position.
• Maintain complete documentation regarding the search and selection process.
• At the conclusion of the process, such documentation shall be relinquished to and become the property of the district.
• Providing incidental legal information regarding governing board procedures and options for the superintendent’s contract.
• Provide any other necessary related services to the district to assist with providing appropriate information to all members and their legal counsel to aid in dealing with the media and other groups, as services are needed.
• As directed by the board, meet with the governing board or other district representatives as requested by the board and provide information to the board and individual board members as required.
• Provide all requested services with strict confidentiality on all phases of the process.
