The Vendor is required to provide to establish non-exclusive agreements with experienced and reputable executive search firms that possess a strong understanding of public higher education and/or healthcare administration and delivery.
- Provide administrative, logistical, research, and support services to assist in the recruitment of executive-level positions across the university.
- Serve as a strategic partner to university in designing and executing a comprehensive and outcome-driven recruitment process.
- This includes assisting with position development, outreach to candidate pools, preliminary screening and assessment, management of the search committee process, and support through final negotiation and onboarding.
- The search process is anticipated to conclude with the selection of finalists within four to five months of its initiation, while remaining true to the university’s commitment to innovation, excellence, and a student-focused mission.
- Initial planning and stakeholder consultation; development of a national outreach strategy; candidate screening and assessment; and delivery of a vetted shortlist of 6–8 qualified individuals.
- As directed by the authorized institutional official, a Search Committee advises an Institution on:
• Developing the position announcement.
• Developing and implementing a recruitment plan (e.g., advertising and posting)
• Recommending top candidates for interview and selection.
• Reference checking and phone interviews.
• Developing questions for interviews and conducting interviews.
• Notifying candidates who have been eliminated from further consideration.
- Pre-recruitment Phase
• Provide assistance and work with designated search committee contact to define and develop written position descriptions and supporting materials that will be used in marketing executive level positions.
• Develop a candidate profile, including the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to become a successful candidate for each position.
• Coordinate with chair of the search committee to ensure the list meets its requirements/desires.
• Market executive level positions and identify a qualified pool of talent for each position.
- Recruitment Phase
• The executive search firm will screen applicants for the specified positions by identifying candidates who meet the established minimum qualifications.
• This process will include conducting telephone interviews to further evaluate each applicant’s credentials.
• The firm will maintain regular communication with the search committee chair, providing updates on completed screening activities, those scheduled for future completion, and any activities the firm does not plan to undertake—along with a clear explanation for such decisions.
• The executive search firm will assess candidates with the strongest qualifications by conducting thorough reference checks.
• These checks will involve contacting individuals who are, or have been, in a position to directly evaluate the candidate’s job performance.
• Using reference checks and background profiles, the executive search firm will identify each candidate’s strengths and personal attributes that align with the requirements of the position. The firm will also highlight specific areas where the search committee may wish to conduct deeper inquiry during the interview process.
• The firm will coordinate candidate participation in interviews by arranging travel, hotel accommodations, scheduling, and expense reimbursements as needed.
• The executive search firm will verify the educational history and background profiles of all finalists for each position.
• Additionally, the firm will recommend any further background investigations that may be appropriate for completion by university.
• The executive search firm will attend meetings with the search committee and relevant staff as needed, assist in preparing meeting agendas, and guide the committee through a structured and critical evaluation of candidates.
