The vendor required to provide recruitment services for include:
- Major responsibilities:
• The role and function of the search firm is to actively engage in executive search for specific positions including executive level and commissioner roles at the request of the county.
• The right to engage or not engage the contractor for any particular commissioner or recruitment and vacancy that may occur on a case-by-case basis.
• The term of the contract, the search firm will act as both facilitator and advisor to human resources and county executive or a particular county department throughout the recruitment and selection process of each identified position.
- Job specification and recruitment strategy development:
• Conduct consultation with human resources and designated staff to gain a thorough understanding of each position’s requirements, responsibilities, organizational context, and success factors.
• Human resources may require the contractor to work with human resources to update the job
• Including job duties, knowledge skills and abilities and minimum qualifications
• Required to advise on developing a compensation and benefits proposal that is appropriate for this position and in conformance with the existing benefit package offered to management positions to attract a qualified pool of diverse candidates that meet the qualifications of the position.
• Design and with county approval will implement tailored recruitment strategies for commissioner-level and hard-to-fill roles, advising on appropriate sourcing channels, including national and regional professional networks, executive search platforms, industry associations, and other appropriate outlets.
- Candidate evaluations:
• Review all applications and identify qualified candidates based on criteria established by human resources and applicable search committee.
• Conduct preliminary screenings, evaluate qualifications and provide written summaries and candidate portfolios highlighting key qualifications and experience.
• Verify education credentials, performance data, and other relevant information; assess management ability; and obtain at least two professional references.
