• Select the most qualified, skilled, and articulate candidates, which shall be reviewed by the city council; provide a written report summarizing results and the identification of up to ten candidates for consideration.
• Advise the city council on interview strategies, techniques, and questions as needed.
• Arrange for and conduct finalist(s) professional background investigations.
• Assist with employment negotiations if requested or as deemed necessary.
