The Vendor is required to provide executive search firms with the capacity and experience to facilitate national searches to identify exemplary candidates for two open positions: provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs (provost) and dean for the college humanities and social sciences (dean, CHSS).
- Conduct the search in a manner that reflects well on university and regularly update and consult with the university search committee regarding the progress of the search.
- Provide support to the search committee in managing the candidate interview process including candidate evaluations tools, scheduling logistics, etc., and coordinate interviews and travel as appropriate.
- Conduct reference and background checks on the final candidates, including telephone reference checks and requesting and receiving employment history and education verification
- Make presentations to university parties of interest as appropriate or assist with communication.
- Schedule with the search committee first-round virtual interviews with prospects selected by the search advisory committee. Following these first-round interviews, schedule second-round interviews with prospects selected by the search advisory committee from the first-round interviews. Prior to any such interviews, the Firm will brief the search committee about each candidate. The Firm will also make each candidate fully aware of the requirements of the positions if requested by the search committee.
- At the direction of the search committee Chair, schedule and lead periodic update meetings with the Chair, search committee, and other personnel deemed necessary to provide status updates on the search work plan.
