The vendor required to provide industry-aligned welding training and employment services to high-quality training, improving participant certification outcomes, and ensuring sustained employment in the welding industry. 1. Recruitment and enrollment • Accept referrals from the division of reentry and process individuals who meet program eligibility criteria. • Collaborate with division to ensure smooth enrollment transitions and proper documentation of participant intake • Assess participants for welding readiness, physical capacity, and safety requirements 2. Pre-training requirement: gateway 2 success workforce development class • Builds essential competencies required to succeed in welding training and the trucking industry. • is embedded with CBT and CBI, equipping participants with emotional regulation, decision-making, and workplace readiness skills. • Ensures participants begin welding training with strong soft-skills, reliability, and career-focused mindsets. 3. Welding training and instruction • Classroom and shop-based instruction • Equipment safety and osha-compliant practices • Blueprint reading and measurement • Welding theory and metallurgy fundamentals 4. Certification testing and credential attainment • Prepare participants for certification exams through skills assessments and mock testing • Coordinate on-site or off-site certification testing • Cover or arrange testing logistics as outlined in the approved budget • Track participant performance and report certification pass rates to division on an ongoing basis 5. Employment placement and workforce connections • Maintain active partnerships with employers in the welding sector, including but not limited to, welding employers, fabrication shops, construction firms, trade unions and registered apprenticeship programs, who are willing to hire individuals with criminal justice histories. • Guarantee job placement for all participants who successfully complete training and obtain their welding certifications. • Provide detailed placement information—including employer, role, wages, and start dates—to division. • Facilitate job placement or apprenticeship entry upon certification • Ensure placements offer competitive wages and career advancement pathways 6. Post-placement retention and support • Offer supports that address common barriers to training completion, such as communication with supervision agencies, schedule coordination, and referrals to wraparound services. • Implement retention strategies including attendance tracking, participant coaching, and early interventions. • Communicate regularly with division regarding participant challenges, progress, and support needs • Coordinate with employers and division to resolve early employment challenges 7. Data collection, reporting, and coordination • Maintain accurate records of attendance, training hours, certification results, and employment placement. • Submit routine reports to division aligned with contract performance metrics. • Participate in coordination meetings, site visits, and continuous improvement activities led by division.
