RFP Description

The Vendor is required to provide executive search firms interested in serving as consultant to the college’s board of trustees in the recruitment of a new college president.
- The Consultant must understand and recognize the inclusive leadership, culture of the institution, meeting the needs of our community and the collaboration of the State community and technical college system needed.
- Services include:
•    To serve at the will of the board.
•    Timely and routinely advise the board on process to assure that the most successful presidential search is conducted.
•    Assist the board and the presidential search sub-committee to establish the profile and qualifications for the new president.
•    Provide training for the board and the presidential search sub-committee in the process for selecting a president.
•    Using the profile and qualifications established by the board in collaboration with the consultant, identify qualified individuals for the position of president and contact them directly to verify qualifications and their suitability to ensure a quality applicant pool.
•    Conduct a campus/community survey to be considered in forming the profile, in coordination with the sub-committee.
•    Using the established profile, identify and recruit highly qualified candidates, from a wide range of diverse backgrounds.
•    Conduct comprehensive screening of applicants and narrow the field to a manageable applicant pool.
•    Perform comprehensive, appropriate and relevant reference, background and financial checks as defined by the board. 
•    Work with the board and the presidential search sub-committee board in the development of screening criteria and interview questions.
•    Guide and provide written information to the board of trustees on candidates to be interviewed.
•    Meet with the board, its presidential search sub-committee, and others throughout the process.
•    The consultant will communicate with the board based on an established schedule
•    Perform the work outlined in this section and additional relevant and necessary to achieve the board’s objective within the timeframe of the presidential search timeline.
•    Coordinate and facilitate search sub-committee meetings, candidate travel, site visits and candidate interviews
- President Position, $250,000 - $300,000 annually depending on experience.
