The Vendor is required to provide an Executive Search Consultant for the President and CEO.
- The consultant will support a search committee appointed by the board by identifying, recruiting, screening, and evaluating prospective candidates and recommending a slate of finalists for the Board’s consideration for the new President and CEO.
- Public institutions of higher education shall include universities and colleges granting baccalaureate or post baccalaureate degrees and such other institutions and educational interests as may be provided by law.
- They will serve as the chief executive officer to the Board, leading Systemwide initiatives and representing the state’s higher education enterprise to policymakers, institutional leaders, and external stakeholders.
- Research – Use its resources to identify relevant higher education and industry sources where prospective candidates are likely to be found.
- Action Plan – Develop an action plan for accomplishing major steps in the search process.
- Prospect Identification – Make selective calls to sources and solid prospects to encourage interest in the position and identify individuals who meet the profile, have a demonstrated ability to engage varied constituencies, and who will contribute to the agency’s mission and vision. It is anticipated that this activity will range from the circulation of announcements in professional journals to extensive personal contacts with prospective candidates.
- Board Consideration – Facilitate the in-person interviews of final candidates by the Board of Regents, including the coordination and reimbursement of candidates’ travel arrangements.
