The Vendor is required to provide executive search services for include:
- Project launch, role(s) identification and skills matrix developed and kick off meetings
• Develop the appropriate project approach through a kick off meeting to coordinate the efforts by both the consultant and the city’s teams
• Identify skills matrix and role profile for chair and members of the board for council approval, in keeping with the council approved compensation framework.
• Define search success criteria and develop a recruitment and marketing plan for approval by officer
- Conduct search for qualified candidates for water utility oversight board chair
• Execute the recruitment and marketing plan.
• Undertake advertising, marketing and networking to source and identify qualified candidates
• Conduct preliminary conversations with interested individuals to develop a list of qualified candidates
- Present long list and short-listed candidates for city evaluation
• Arrange vetting and interviews with city administration and other interested parties, as applicable (virtual or in person as indicated)
• Manage candidate pool to ensure candidates are kept informed of process steps and timing
• Complete background checks on selected candidates, which may include media check, reference checks, etc.
• Communicate selection decision to candidates
- Ongoing board recruitment support (board maintenance)
• Supporting recruitment of replacement board members or chair should a vacancy occur,
• Conducting targeted candidate sourcing, screening, and evaluation,
• Maintaining pipeline of potential candidates where feasible.

• Development of board competency profiles and position descriptions,
• Design and execution of recruitment strategies,
• Preparation of candidate shortlists ad assessment summaries.
