The Vendor is required to provide to aid in the search of candidates to fill the superintendent role at district.
- The objective of the search firm is to:
• Identify and recruit a superintendent who best aligns with the district’s mission, strategic priorities, culture, and leadership needs.
• Conduct a search process that actively attracts a diverse pool of highly qualified and experienced candidates from districts and educational organizations with similar student achievement and community contexts.
• Engage the board of education, employees, community in the development of the superintendent selection criteria and desired leadership characteristics.
• Support a transparent, collaborative, and community informed search process while maintaining appropriate confidentiality throughout candidate recruitment and screening activities.
• Provide professional guidance and technical expertise to the board throughout all phases of the superintendent search, including recruitment, screening, interviews, finalist selection, background investigations, and contract negotiations.
- Provide comprehensive Superintendent search services, including but not limited to the following:
• Develop and recommend a superintendent search process, project timeline, and work plan that aligns with the district’s goals and hiring timeline.
• Facilitate stakeholder and community engagement activities to gather input regarding desired superintendent qualifications, leadership characteristics, and district priorities.
• Assist the board in developing and refining the superintendent job description, candidate profile, and evaluation criteria.
• Develop and implement a recruitment strategy designed to attract a diverse pool of highly qualified candidates through regional and/or national outreach efforts.
• Prepare and distribute recruitment and advertising materials to maximize candidate awareness and interest in the position.
• Receive, review, and screen candidate applications and provide recommendations to the board regarding qualified applicants.
• Coordinate and facilitate interviews, stakeholder meetings, community forums, and candidate site visits as directed by the board.
• Conduct reference checks, credential verification, and comprehensive background investigations on finalist candidates.
• Provide technical, administrative, and logistical support throughout the search, selection, and hiring process, including consultation during contract negotiations.
• Maintain confidentiality throughout the recruitment process and provide regular reports, updates, and recommendations to the board of education.
