The Vendor is required to provide executive vice president (EVP) search firm for a dynamic and visionary executive vice president of academic affairs and student affairs who demonstrates an innovative, student-centered, and collaborative leadership approach.
- Requirement:
• Provide expert consultation to the college president and the executive director of human resources throughout the performance period, beginning with the establishment of a preliminary timeline through to completion when an employment agreement is executed between the college and the executive vice president-finalist.
• The ideal start date for the new candidate is January 1, 2027, no later than July 1, 2027.

• Assist with position advertisement in appropriate local, state, and national media for higher education.
• Solicit personal interest or candidate referrals from comparable community colleges on the behalf of the college president.
• Evidence to the president of demonstrated knowledge of the higher education environment in the state of new jersey and provide personal outreach and recruitment of highly qualified and diverse candidates who will thrive in county
• Actively gain an understanding of all aspects of ocean county college to include its mission, its vision, its people, its larger community and the college’s strengths and opportunities to make this job opportunity attractive to potential candidates.
• Feedback to the president and executive director of human resources on the job description and other materials to be used in the recruitment process.
• Review all applications and provide assessments of the quality and relevance of candidates’ previous employment and experience as a comparison against the requirements stated at the outset of the search.
• Firm must have the ability to access reliable higher education contacts to receive honest and informed opinions on the candidates’ backgrounds.
• Ensure that candidates possess the skills, competencies, experience, and educational requirements to excel in the role and in college culture and community.
• Coordinate candidates’ participation in the interview process.
• Assist with the development of an interview format and candidate questions.
• Assist the president and executive director of human resources in determining finalists and aid in developing schedules for the finalists’ visits to campus and meetings with the internal and external community.
• Consult with the college to arrange meetings, interviews, and campus visits. (any candidate travel reimbursement will be made in accordance with the college’s travel reimbursement procedures.)
• Monitor the progress of the search and conduct regular briefings with the president and the executive director of human resources throughout the search period.
• Evaluate candidates for serious consideration by verifying educational degrees, credentials and employment records.
• Perform thoughtful reference checks and conduct a pre-employment background check of finalists in accordance with the college’s policy and procedures.
