The vendor is required to provide payment and support provider to provide daily payments and support services to participants in the same day work and pay program.
1. Participant payments
• Administering a daily, safe, and secure process to pay up to twenty (20) clip same day work and pay (SDWP) participants a minimum of $50 cash at the end of each day worked, four days per week throughout the contract period.
• Provider will work with clip to confirm calendar of payment days.
• Providing in-person payments at a location mutually agreed on with the worksite provider, primarily in the city.
• Managing required documentation at the point of payment to track all payments made, minimizing risk of unauthorized payments.
• Collaborating with clip to inform participants of required tax documentation, and issuing 1099 and other forms to any participants that receive compensation at or above six hundred dollars ($600) in a tax year.
• Ensuring staff are trained in trauma-informed practices to be adhered to while engaging with participants during and after payment processes.
2. Contingency planning
• Implementing a backup protocol in the event of an emergency to ensure that participant payment is not delayed or missed on a participant workday.
• Implementing a safety protocol in the event of an emergency to ensure the safe handling of cash.
• Communicating with stakeholders in a timely manner to ensure awareness and resolution of issues or concerns.
3. Support services
• Facilitating resources and referral partnerships with local community organizations to address barriers and increase stability.
• Facilitating resources and referral partnerships with local community organizations to support transition to next steps for longer-term employment pathways.
4. Documentation
• Maintaining all financial documentation related to the SDWP project.
• Designating staff who will be responsible for ensuring payments, invoicing, and programmatic tax information requirements with supporting documentation, and meet contract requirements.
• Monthly reports as outlined in the programmatic reporting.
5. Community of practice
• Attending all monthly meetings of the SDWP communities of practice.
• Identifying and sharing promising practices, resources, challenges, and needs to further inform and strengthen the community of practice.
• Building partnerships, both formal and informal, to support participant outcomes and program impact.
