The vendor is required to provide by confidential shredding destruction services.
- Service is provided by bonded personnel wearing uniforms and displaying photo identification at all times.
- Service vehicles are identified with the company logo and equipped with automatic locking doors;
- Records are never left unattended in an unsecured situation;
- Contents of boxes of confidential records are handled by the proponent prior to shredding;
- Shredding of records is completed within 24 hours of pickup;
- Certificates of destruction will be provided by the proponent for all document destruction jobs, including individually for each console serviced and for each box pick-up order.
- Collection containers are serviced individually, contents emptied into larger handling equipment and loaded into an enclosed locked vehicle.
- At times, large bulk pickups may be arranged, for example, for the destruction of a large volume of records from the university’s offsite storage (high density library), or from other locations.
- Certificates of destruction will be provided by the proponent for bulk destruction jobs.
- Standard locked shredding consoles measures approximately 19” l x 19” w x 36”; locked bins on wheels have a 65-gallon capacity.
- Proponent will accept orders for pick-up or orders for collection container installation from the university archives only, except for standing pick-ups referred to below which proceed on a scheduled basis once established.
