The Vendor is required to provide shredding and data destruction services to support campus‑wide secure document disposal, ensuring HIPAA and FERPA compliance.
- Requires secure data destruction services on both a regularly scheduled and an “as needed” basis, depending on departmental needs.
- Services may occur on site or off site.
- Multiple departments within the same building may request pickups.
- University reserves the right to adjust pick up locations and schedules at any time.
- Destruction and recycling services may include, but are not limited to:
• Confidential paper documents
• Mixed office paper (non-corrugated, office paper, magazines, catalogs, envelopes, flyer …),
• Plastics (id’s or credit cards)
• Hard drives
• Tape media
• Microfiche
• Flash drives
• CDs and miscellaneous electronic media
• Devices without removable drives (e.g., tablets, Chromebook, mobile devices)
• If the contractor cannot destroy certain materials, this must be clearly indicated
- On-site services
• Must be performed on university’s campus using the contractor’s mobile destruction unit.
• Materials may be provided in contractor containers or university storage boxes.
- Off-site services
• To be conducted at the contractor’s secure facility when required.
