The Vendor is required to provide to procure on-demand tele-counseling services for its enrolled students to supplement its existing services offered by the Student Health and Counseling Center.
- Emergency after-hours services must be available as well as scheduled appointments.
- Individual counseling services are suspended at the close of the spring and fall semesters and crisis services continue until mid-June.
- During the summer session from mid-June through mid-August, the Student Health and Counseling Center is open administratively Monday through Friday from 8:00-4:00.
- The mental health services include: Brief time limited individual counseling (biweekly), relationship counseling, daytime crisis assessments, limited education and outreach consultations, and referral services for medication management.
- Solution and any professional services needed to implement solution:
• Provide individual student mental health tele-counseling services to students at agency to supplement existing mental health counseling services offered through the student health and counseling center.
o Emergency services must be available as well as scheduled appointments.
o All services must be provided by licensed mental health professionals as outlined in section 6 and be provided at no cost to students.
• Provide referrals to qualified mental health counseling professionals and other service providers outside the vendor’s scope of services.
• Provide an easily accessible cloud-based software platform for students to access services and make appointments.
• Provide monthly utilization reports for the usage of services, high-level student needs, and other criteria based upon the scope of vendor services.
o Ad hoc reports may be requested with advanced notice.
• Assign a dedicated staff member to serve as a liaison to discuss current services and any identified needs for improvements in service.
• Provide marketing materials at no-cost to the college or students to distribute to students advertising the vendor’s services.
- Must primarily be a provider of mental health counseling or healthcare services.
- Must have experience with providing mental health counseling services with a minimum of three (3) years of operation, including at least one (1) year providing tele-counseling services to college-age students.
- All counseling professionals must hold, at minimum, a master's level degree and a minimum of one year of providing direct services.
- All counseling professionals must be in good standing and accredited by their respective state’s licensure/accreditation office.
- At a minimum, students should be able to access a counselor in any of the 50 states in the country.
- All counseling professionals shall carry their own malpractice insurance.
