The vendor required to provide background check and screening services for include:
• Provide comprehensive background check and screening services.
• Provide quality information regarding the background of prospective employees.
• Capability to provide the following screenings that may or may not be requested as follows:
o Social security number verification and validation
o Name and address trace
o Date of birth
o Current residence
o Risk management scan for inconsistencies in person’s history to help identify potential fraudulent or misleading information
o Credit checks for up to seven years history
o Public records relating to financial history
o Criminal history up to seven years - statewide systems and databases (felony and misdemeanor)
o Criminal history up to seven years - national and federal systems and databases (felony, misdemeanor, sex offender registry, etc.)
o Motor vehicle and driving records up to seven years
o Education verification
o Employment verification
• Facilitate background checks and deliver results in a timely manner to prevent candidate loss through delay.
• Communicate status updates on a regular basis at key phases of the process and communicate any issues encountered that may result in delays.
• Provide county, state, and federal records.
• Provide and deploy paid “in-person” checks for counties that will not provide information electronically.
