Real Time Captioning Services

The vendor is required to provide real-time captioning services.
- Provide proof of communication access real-time translation (CART) certifications and any documentation about accuracy rates.
- Provide a service provider based on a request from the disability services (DS). In processing service requests, the contractor shall use all means available to provide quality services while keeping cost effectiveness as a priority.
- DS will inform the contractor of the type of subject matter to be presented and the contractor will assign a service provider with the appropriate level of certification and knowledge of the content.
- The service provider shall practice the principles of professional demeanor, confidentiality, faithfulness and accuracy when interacting with the individual and providing services.
- Shall confirm that each assignment is filled by emailing ds with a confirmation once services are assigned.
- The service provider shall arrive at least ten (10) minutes prior to the start of in-person assignments and twenty (20) minutes prior to the start of remote assignments. 
- The service provider shall remain throughout the entirety of the assignment.
- On-campus services: with input from the consumer, the service provider shall arrange seating/placement in classrooms and meetings to permit effective communication, considering lighting, technology, number of functions of the speakers, and the agenda, if necessary. 
- Service provider shall facilitate the exchange of information among all persons.
- Remote services: with input from the consumer, the service provider shall arrange remote devices and links to permit effective communication, number of functions of the speakers, and the agenda, if necessary. Service provider shall facilitate the exchange of information among all persons.
- Ability to provide in-person and remote captioning.
