The Vendor is required to provide for the provision of Lead Based Paint Liability Insurance coverage, and to contract with one insurance agent to obtain the insurance coverage.
- Authority owns and manages approximately 700 federally subsidized public housing units for low-income families.
- The agent/broker shall be licensed or duly authorized to issue, solicit and service commercial property/casualty insurance in accordance with the laws of the State.
- The policy shall name as insured the authority and shall include the executive officers, commissioners and employees while acting within the scope of their duties.
- The policy will be a "claims-made and reported" policy.
- The policy will require that a claim be made against the insured for Bodily Injury during the policy period and reported to the company during the policy period or, where applicable, the extended reporting period.
- The Company will pay on behalf of the insured for loss and related legal expense resulting from any Lead Based Paint pollution liability condition on, at, under or migrating from any covered location, which the insured has or will become legally obligated to pay as a result of a claim.
