The Vendor is required to provide for insurance services from a broker that has the resources, expertise, and experience in the placement and service of bridge, property, terrorism, and business interruption insurance coverage.
- The Lead Account Manager should have a minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience managing, overseeing, and leading the placement of Bridge, Property, Terrorism, and Business Interruption Insurance coverage and other insurance consulting services.
- The Lead Account Manager must have and continuously possess one or more of the following accreditations: Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI), Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), or Associate in Risk Management (ARM).
- The Claims Manager shall be responsible for delivering pre-and post-loss support to ensure prompt and fair recovery following a loss. The Claims Manager should have a minimum of five (5) years of claims management experience.
- Claims Processing and Claims Management
o Coordinate with the named insured and work with the appropriate insurer to ensure proper settlement on any claims filed by the named insured on the bridge, property, terrorism and business interruption insurance policy.
o Coordinate with the department the selection of a mutually agreed upon adjusting firm that has experience in bridge, property, terrorism and business interruption insurance.
o In the event that losses from an occurrence exceed the self-insured retention, as needed, act as an advocate for the named insured and as an intermediary between the named insured, insurers, and the mutually agreed upon adjusting firm to facilitate communications, data exchange, and prompt resolution and full settlement of the claim(s).
